Bhopal: Chhattisgarh police on Wednesday served a non-bailable warrant issued by a court in Koriya district at the office of Madhya Pradesh Additional Chief Secretary (water resources) R S Julaniya here.

"An assistant inspector from Koriya district of Chhattisgarh came to our control room here and sought help to execute a non-bailable warrant against the ACS," Superintendent of police Anshuman Singh said.

A police team then went to Julaniya's office at the secretariat (Vallabh Bhawan) where it pasted the arrest warrant as he was not present there.

Julaniya was facing the arrest warrant in a case of cheating and criminal breach of trust in Koriya, a top police official here said, without giving more details.

When contacted, Julaniya told PTI that he had learnt about the warrant, and would "proceed in the matter according to the law".
