Two minors among 3 held for phone snatching near Bharat Talkies

Bhopal: Mangalwara police on Monday arrested three persons, including two minors, in connection with a mobile phone snatching from a pedestrian near Bharat Talkies on Sunday morning. Mangalwara SHO Ajay Soni said that the main accused was identified as Saddam Sheikh(33), a resident of Sanjay Nagar Colony near Bhopal railway station. Two minors were arrested with him.Soni stated that 18-year-old Vishesh Ahirwar had filed a complaint stating that he was on his way to visit his grandmother in Sanchi on April 6 when the incident took place.Following the complaint, police launched an investigation, reviewing CCTV footage from the scene and surrounding areas. Intelligence sources were also activated. Based on the footage and a tip-off, police nabbed Saddam Sheikh and two juveniles from Pushpa Apartment near the Bharat Talkies Bridge. The stolen phone and a motorcycle used in the crime were recovered from their possession.Saddam Sheikh is a repeat offender with two prior criminal cases registered against him. During questioning, he reportedly suffered three epileptic seizures, which caused disruptions in the questioning process.
