Truck rams bike in Rewa, woman dead

A woman was killed and her husband and two daughters were injured after a truck hit their motorcycle near Majhigawan village under Sagra police station limits in Rewa district on Friday. The deceased was identified as Pramila Patel, 38. She was travelling with her husband Bharat Patel and their two daughters when the accident occurred near Sagra turn. Police said the truck, coming from the opposite direction, hit the motorcycle, causing all four occupants to fall on the road. Locals informed police and emergency services. Pramila sustained injuries and died at the spot. Bharat Patel and both daughters were injured and were taken to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, Rewa. Doctors said Bharat's condition is critical, while the two children are undergoing treatment. The truck driver fled the scene after the accident. Police seized the vehicle and started a search for the driver. Police said preliminary inquiry suggests overspeeding and negligence. tnn
