BHOPAL: The Tribal Museum in Bhopal is organising unique weekly workshops for children where they are introduced to various art forms like theatre, art, craft, music, storytelling, poetry, origami and block printing.
“This is an innovative endeavour by our institution, to wean children and teenagers away from the virtual, make-believe world and introduce them to real art,” said the curator of Tribal Museum,
Ashok Mishra.
“These youngsters are the keepers and protectors of our heritage, till the time we give them a taste of refined Indian art forms, how will they carry this legacy forward?” he added.
These workshops are organised at the museum on Sundays at 3pm for children in the age group of 8 to 16 years. “They can come with their families and participate in the workshops,” said the curator. “They have to register themselves at museum website to learn art forms that will open new vistas for them in real world,” added Mishra.
