BHOPAL: An 18-year-old BPharma student, who had gone to click photographs along railway tracks, came under a speeding train while he was crossing

to reach his friend, in Shahpura on Saturday evening.

Investigating officer, SI Rinku Jatav, said the deceased Aarib Khan was a native of a village in Budaun district of Uttar Pradesh. His father, Aftab Ahmad Khan, is a farmer. SI Jatav said, “Aarib had come to study B-Pharma in Bhopal and he was a first year student. He resided here with his relative, Sharik Khan, 34, who works as a physiotherapist.”

“He had gone to click pictures with his friend Prakash, 18, who is also a B-Pharma student. Prakash was sitting on one side of the tracks while Aarib was clicking photos on the other side. When a train approached, Aarib tried to cross the tracks and was dragged over 50 metres,” said SI Jatav. SI Jatav said that a case has been registered and investigations are underway.
