BHOPAL: Top three functionaries in Madhya Pradesh BJP leadership, chief minister
Shivraj Singh Chouhan, BJP state president, VD Sharma and BJP general sectary Suhas Bhagat, all have tested positive for Covid-19.
The three including MLA Arvind Bhadoria, who tested positive for Covid-19 six days ago, attended the funeral of governor Lalji Tandon on July 21. All top BJP leaders of UP and MP were present on the occasion, including defence minister Rajnath Singh.
UP governor and acting MP governor Anandiben Patel and UP CM Yogi Adityanath were also in attendance.
Four MP politicians testing positive for the infection has once again triggered jitters up to Lucknow and Delhi.
CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan at 7.25 pm on Wednesday took to twitter and wrote, “State President, BJP Madhya Pradesh, member of parliament (Lok Sabha) from Khajuraho is unwell. I pray for his swift recovery.” Chouhan tested positive for the infection on Saturday. His condition is stable.
MP BJP media in-charge, Lokendra Parasar, confirmed, “BJP state president VD Sharma was diagnosed for Covid-19 in Bhopal. He is being admitted to Chirayu medical college, where the CM is also undergoing Covid-19 treatment. All close contacts have been instructed to get tested for COvid-19. I have tested negative for the infection, in a few days I might repeat the test (on medical advice).” Bhagat who tested positive on Tuesday is under home quarintiend.
Another MLA and minister of state for OBC welfare Ramkhilawan Patel was also diagnosed with Covid-19 infection. Late on Tuesday evening, another MLA Tulsi Silawat took to twitter to announce his test result. He also said that his wife had tested positive for Covid-19 as well. "I ask all those who had come in contact with me to also get themselves tested. On doctor's advice, I am getting home quarantined. Medical consultation, yoga, pranayam, immunity boosters and self-confidence are treatments for Covid-19. We will surely defeat it," he tweeted.Silawat was MP health minister in Kamal Nath government.
