Tipsy student thrashes girl classmate on BU campus

BHOPAL: A student of master of physical education allegedly under influence of alcohol beat up his girl classmate during practical class on Barkatullah University campus on Saturday. She has filed a complaint to proctor of the university.
Sources said the incident took place at 5 pm when Lakhan Singh Baghel had an argument with his classmate. "He kept on shouting at her.We were playing volleyball. Before we could understand the matter, Lakhan beat her up. He was drunk," alleged a student pleading anonymity.
We had to call cops to control him," said a faculty, adding he was taken to Bagh Sewania police station. He was released with a warning. The girl student filed a complaint to university authorities.
When contacted, director sports (in charge) of BU Professor HS Yadav said, "It is an intolerable act. I have forwarded the complaint to proctor Professor AK Pathak.
