Three of a family die by suicide

Jabalpur: A man, his wife and 11-year-old kid, died by suicide in Rampur Chhapar area of Jabalpur.The incident came to light on Sunday afternoon after neighbours saw them hanging from outside the window and informed Gorakhpur police. “The man, 40-year-old Ravi Burman, worked as a medical representative and lived with his wife 35-year-old Poonam Burman and son Aryan Burman at Rampur Chhapar. Neighbors had last seen the family members on Saturday night. On Sunday afternoon we received information that the trio was hanging inside house,” Gorakhpur police station in charge Arvind Choubey said. “Police teams reached the spot and sent the bodies for postmortem. No suicide note was recovered from the house. The reasons that had triggered the incident are not clear yet. Forensic teams have also been roped in”, he said. Sources said that the incident had triggered panic in the locality and there is a talk in the area that it was probably due to financial stress and loan that the family took the extreme step.
