RAIGARH: Three persons -- two of them hailing from Bhopal were arrested with flesh and hide of a deer that they killed, from Birjipura locality here, police said.
Search is on to arrest two of their accomplices who escaped from the spot, Kotwali police station inspector Mahendra Shakya said.
"Acting on a complaint we reached a place of one Abdul Rafiq where we found him along with Ameen Pathan, Kadeer Ullah, Abid Hasan and Jafar Khan chopping a deer to pieces last evening.
"We arrested Rafiq, a local resident, besides Ameen and Kadeer, hailing from Bhopal. However the two others, who are locals residents managed to escape," said the official.
"We have recovered the gun and car used to poach the deer. The accused have been booked under the relevant sections of IPC and Forest Conservation Act," said the official. COR LAL RMT
