BHOPAL: Senior IAS officer Ramesh Thete has reiterated his allegation of "discrimination" against the state government and vowed to take his fight with government to a "logical end". In yet another letter written to principal secretary, general administration department (GAD) on Monday, Thete told TOI he was forced to write this letter after government served him a show cause notice two days ago.
He said after his earlier reply to a state government letter, he had half an hour meeting with chief secretary Anthony de Sa, who according to Thete, assured to look into his grievances. De Sa also said chief minister doesn't harbour any grudge against him, he said.
However, the show cause notice did not reflect government's feeling as expressed by CS, Thete wrote in his letter.
"It appears, chief minister and his subordinate officials have already planed to eliminate me." (mujhe gher kar maarne ka poora plan banaa liya hai..Thete writes in Hindi.)
In view of the potential threat, he writes, I have decided that this time it's do or die for me. ( ".. ab kee baar iss paar ya us paar").
He said that he was served the notice under section 10 (1) (A) of All India services (Discipline and Appeal) rule 1969.
Alleging discrimination, he said that on one hand he has been denied promotion while some IAS officials have been promoted when cases against them are pending in court.
