Super-speciality status for 13 hospitals
Bhopal:
Under this, super-speciality medical treatment including surgical facilities will be available in these hospitals. “Treatment will be free for BPL families and individuals,” minister for water resources and state government spokesman Narottam Mishra said. “Families living above poverty line will get medical treatment at subsidised rates applicable under the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS),” he said.
Government also decided to start the Madhya Pradesh Medical Education (Medical College and Hospital Management) Services. Under this, doctors and medical staff will no longer be asked to do administrative work in the hospitals. “This has been done keeping in mind the shortage of doctors in these hospitals,” Mishra said.
Cabinet also ratified creation of 77 posts to provide better administrative services to patients in medical colleges and government hospitals. Government also took the decision to provide better administrative facilities to students pursuing studies in medical colleges.
A post of additional director, nine of joint director, 15 posts of deputy director and 55 posts of assistant director level have been approved.
In another major decision taken under the chairmanship of chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the cabinet decided to exempt the film “Ek Thi Rani Aisi Bhi” from entertainment tax.
A notification to this effect was issued on April 20, 2017 regarding exemption of entertainment tax on the film which is based on the life on one of BJP’s icons, Vijayaraje Scindia. MP from Mathura, Hema Malini is in the lead role along with deceased BJP MP Vinod Khanna. The film is directed by Gulbahar Singh.
Council of ministers also approved formation of a state-level three-member Karigar Ayog (handicrafts and handloom workers’ commission) for socio-economic rights and to study problems of artisans.
