Showers brewing over Bhopal, heat set to take a brief breather

Bhopal: The weather was expected to change in Bhopal and many other parts of the state on Friday. Thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds were expected over many places, including Bhopal. It would give respite from the hot weather, at least for a day or two.Day temperature in Bhopal on Thursday was recorded at 34.2 degrees celsius, a degree less than the normal mark, while the night temperature in the city was 17.2 degrees celsius, a degree less than the normal mark.In the past 24 hours till 8.30 am on Thursday, thunderstorm, lightning, rainfall was witnessed in Anuppur, Khandwa and Burhanpur dists while hailstorm was witnessed in south-west Khandwa and east Anuppur dist.In the forecast for Bhopal on Friday the meteorological dept stated there would be partly cloudy sky with chances of thunderstorm, lightning with light rainfall towards evening or night.Day and night temperature would be respectively 35 degrees celsius and 18 degrees celsius while average wind speed will be 14 kilometres per hour.In the forecast for the state, a warning of thunderstorm, lightning, hailstorm and gusty winds was issued for Betul, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Khargone, Pandhurna, Datia, Bhind and Chhindwara dist.A warning of thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds was issued for Bhopal, Vidisha, Raisen, Sehore, Narmadapuram, Harda, Indore, Dewas, Shajapur Balaghat dists.
