Bhopal: Khelo India Youth Games-2022 mascot and torch will be unveiled on January 7. Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union minister of state for sports Nisith Pramanik will officially release the Khelo India theme song.
Madhya Pradesh is hosting the fifth edition of Khelo India Youth Games-2022. In this grand sports event to be held from January 30 to February 11, over 6009 players will give their best in 23 games, in 8 different cities for 13 days.
CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan will unveil the mascot, torch and anthem of Khelo India Youth Games-2022 in a colourful programme to be organised at Shaurya Smarak in Bhopal on January 7 at 6 pm. Union minister of state for sports Nisith Pramanik will be present as the Guest of Honour. In this grand event organised under the chairmanship of state sports and youth welfare minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia, wonderful colours of Khelo India will be seen through drone and laser show.
The fifth edition of Khelo India Youth Games will be held from January 30 to February 11 in eight cities of the state. These cities will be Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Mandla, Balaghat and Khargone (Maheshwar). One
game (cycling) will be held in Delhi.
For the first time, water sports namely Kayaking Canoeing, Canoe Salaam and Fencing will be part of this edition of Khelo India Games. Khelo India Youth Games 5.0 will have 303 international and 1089 national officials as part of these games. Around 2000 volunteers will be deployed in different game venues for Khelo India.
