BHOPAL: Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan undertook aerial survey of flood-affected areas consecutively on second day on Saturday. He directed administration to intensify relief and rescue operations in affected districts.
In the first phase, Chouhan took account of Khandwa, Omkareshwar, Mandleshwar and Maheshwar in Khandwa district and Dharampuri in Dhar district. In the second phase, he surveyed Badi Bareli in Raisen district, Nemawar in Dewas district, Handia and Khategaon in Harda district, Chheepaner, Hoshangabad and Sehore district’s flood-affected areas Shahganj, Budhni, Sagarkhera Khurd and Kusumkhera.

Flood water is receding everywhere. Relief operations are continuing on a war-footing. Food packets are being airdropped for the people. Work to set up temporary shelters is being done at a rapid pace, CM said.
In the third phase, the chief minister undertook aerial survey of Vidisha district’s flood-affected areas and directed the district administration to accelerate pace of relief works. CM was accompanied by officials, including SK Mishra and Hari Ranjan Rao.
