Bhopal: CM Mohan Yadav on Tuesday used the Women's Reservation (Amendment) Bill to sharpen his attack on the
DMK and
Congress, accusing them of blocking women's political advancement and urging voters in Tamil Nadu to "settle the score" in the April 23 assembly election.
"Itruly wantto congratulatePM Narendra Modiforthe way he fought for women's dignity.Hadthis Women's Reservation Bill been passed, ourseatsin Tamil Nadu would have increased, and they would have become MPs, MLAs, ministers, and more," he said at a poll rally in Tamil Nadu. "But the DMK and Congress have blocked their path. I expect you to settle the score with them in the election," Yadav said.

Yadavwas in poll-bound Tamil Naduon Tuesdayandcampaigned for BJP candidatefrom Avinashi assembly seat L Murugan, who is Union minister of statefor parliamentary affairs and a Rajya Sabha member from Madhya Pradesh.Avinashischeduled caste reservedconstituencyspreads over two districts ofCoimbatoreandTiruppur.Yadav went on a road show with Murugan and addressed the last public meeting before campaigningcame to an endfor the polling.
"In this election season, I have come to Avinashi--the land of Lord Rameshwaram--from Madhya Pradesh with the blessings of Baba Mahakal," the CM said. "We are at the end of the day; election campaigning will end in 25 minutes, but seeing your enthusiasm and excitement, it looks likewe are going to win a landslide victory with the ideology of Amma Jayalalithaa.NDA is contesting the electionsunder that ideology," he said.
Yadav claimed thatpeopleof this countrywere fortunate to have the kind of atmosphere that has beenunder the leadership ofPM Narendra Modi."L Murugan isPM Modi's capableminister.I wish him all thebestandexpect you all to not rest until the last vote is castinfavourof our candidate," Yadav said.
Murugan has been fielded by the BJP againstDMK's Gokilamani."The poor,common manandeveryone from their familiesmust getthe opportunity to become ministers, chief ministers, and prime ministers in a democracy. This is the vision of our NDA. But the DMK and Congress want to keep all the power within one family; this is a fight against them," the CM said.
Yadav described Tamil Nadu as thecapital of temples in the country."But in such a state of faith, when the reign of Lord Ram is becoming global, these DMK people have imposed a curfew. It is with great regret that I have to say that when it comes to the immersion of Hindu idols, they(DMK)resort to lathi charge," he said referring to the seizure of Ganpati idols during immersion in Aug and Septlast year."This is an opportunity to settle scores withthe present DMK govt," he said.
The CM appealed to theBJP workersof Avinashi seat to be vigilant till the last vote is cast. "These DMK people are verymischievous, corrupt, dishonest, and deceitful.They will conspire. But all ofyouremainvigilant untilthelast vote is cast. Whatever work you are assigned to do in your constituency, do not sit in peace until every single vote is cast for the BJP," he said.
Earlier in the afternoon, Yadav addressed an election public meeting at Rasipuram assembly seatin Namakkal district where BJP's SD Premkumar has been pitted against the DMK's M Mathiventhan.
