BHOPAL: Six industrialists of Mandideep Industrial Area (MIA) appeared before NGT on Friday to clear their stand. Power and water connections of six industries have been disconnected by MP Pollution Control Board as they didn't have clearances related to environmental issues.
On August 1, central zone bench of the National Green Tribunal was informed that six industries - M/s Anand Industries, M/s Steel Innovation, M/s Integrated Infosys, Ms/ Shakti Televentures, M/s Tranwin Industries, M/s S S Bindra Flour Mill - were operating without valid consent despite notices.
Thereafter, NGT bench comprising judicial member Justice Dalip Singh and expert member P S Rao had directed to snap power and water supply. Also, warrants were issued against them. On Friday, six industries representatives informed that they had applied for consent with PCB. They also pleaded their water and power supply be restored by government. Now, fate of industries will be decided on August 25.
