Ratlam election results 2024 live updates: BJP's Anita Nagarsingh wins
NEW DELHI: Anita Nagarsingh Chouhan from the Bharatiya Janata Party emerged victorious with 795863 votes, securing a lead of 207232 votes over her closest rival, Kantilal Bhuria from the Indian National Congress, who obtained 588631 votes.
Engineer Balusingh Gamad from the Bharat Adivasi Party finished third with 52759 votes, trailing the winner by a significant margin of 743104 votes. Ramchandra Solanki from the Bahujan Samaj Party secured the fourth position with 15172 votes, while SURAJ BHABHAR, an independent candidate, obtained 10062 votes.
Other independent candidates, including Rangla Kalesh, Kasna Rana Pargi, and Sumitra Meda, received 7335, 7316, and 6930 votes, respectively. Rameshwar Singar and Mohansingh Ningwal, also contesting independently, garnered 4607 and 4507 votes. Sheetal Barela from the Akhand Bharat Samrajya Party and Udesingh Machar from the Republican Party of India (A) secured 3930 and 3796 votes, respectively. The NOTA (None of the Above) option was chosen by 31735 voters.
Ratlam Lok Sabha constituency, formerly known as Jhabua, is one of the 29 parliamentary constituencies in Madhya Pradesh. The polling date for the Ratlam Constituency was scheduled for May 13 phase 4 of the Lok Sabha election.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) revealed the timetable for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 on March 16.

The voter turnout recorded for this seat was 72.94 percent, as per the data released by the Election Commission of India.
The Ratlam constituency comprises 8 Legislative Assemblies, Alirajpur (ST), Jobat (ST), Jhabua (ST), Thandla (ST), Petlawad (ST), Ratlam Rural (ST), Ratlam City, and Sailana (ST). The constituency was established in 1952.
The BJP has fielded Anita Nagarsingh Chouhan, while the Congress has once again put forward Kantilal Bhuria. The seat, traditionally a Congress stronghold, has seen significant competition from the BJP in recent years.
In the 2019 general elections, BJP's Guman Singh Damor won with 696,103 votes, defeating Congress's Kantilal Bhuria, who garnered 605,467 votes (43.23%).
In the 2014 general elections, Dilip Singh Bhuria defeated Kantilal Bhuria, securing 545,980 votes (50.41%) compared to Bhuria's 437,523 votes (40.39%).
