Processions choke traffic movement

Bhopal: State capital witnessed huge traffic jams during 125th birth anniversary of Baba Saheb Ambedkar on Thursday. Bhopal traffic police had not issued any traffic advisory to avoid any certain road.
"Several roads including Chetak bridge, Board office and Habibganj station witnessed congestion. Commuters were also not aware about the road blocks and that's why many were stuck in the jam for hours," said Aman, a daily commuter.
According to the ASP (Traffic) Sameer Yadav, police had informed commuters by releasing press notes, and even put up the information on social media that traffic will be restricted on certain stretches. "We certainly need to create more awareness to avoid traffic jams in the city," he said.
