"It is a battle against the virus. I am recovering, but still I face a lot of fatigue. I was in the

hospital

for more than a month. Even now, I have to get myself checked after every five days. I got injections there and medicines, even after discharge I am getting medicines from there. Doctors have been calling me regularly for follow up," the patient who is from

Chhatarpur

district and was admitted at Jabalpur's Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital, told TOI.

The patient was tested positive for Covid-19 on April 16 and was admitted at the hospital. He was discharged on May 4 after he recovered and tested negative for the disease.

However, his wellness was short-lived as he developed black fungus infection and was rushed to Jabalpur and admitted to hospital on May 16.

"My father was operated on May 30, and then he was discharged on June 15. He is in good health now, but he is very weak. Doctors had informed that weakness will be there for a few months and have advised for regular monitoring and follow ups. I would advice people to take extra

precaution

to keep the virus at bay," patient's son told TOI.
