Police rescue infant crawling alone on Guna road
Bhopal: Police in Guna district rescued a nine-month-old child found crawling alone on a road in the early hours of Thursday. The child's family, unaware of the incident, had fallen asleep on the roadside during a long journey.
According to reports, the Dial-100/112 team from Myana police station received a call about an accident on Naisarai Road from the state-level police control room.Constable Aman Cheema and pilot Brajesh Prajapati quickly responded and headed to the scene.
On their way, the Dial-100 team spotted the 9-month-old child crawling on his stomach and knees along the roadside. The officers immediately stopped and rescued the child, taking him into their protection. Upon looking around, they noticed the child's family members were sleeping on the other side of the road, some distance away, with a parked bike nearby. The family appeared to be in deep sleep.
The police team woke them up, and after several calls, the family members stirred. They explained that they were traveling from Poonamkhedi village to Jalampur village and had stopped to rest near a bonfire due to the long journey and extreme cold. During this time, they had fallen asleep, and the child crawled across the road and headed toward the fields on the other side, say media reports.
The police personnel also arranged for their stay in a nearby house, provided blankets, and lit a bonfire to keep them warm. The family expressed their gratitude to the Dial-100 team for their timely intervention and continued their journey to Jalampur village the next morning.
