On eve of Chaitra Navratri, drizzle turns weather pleasant
Bhopal: Ahead of the Chaitra Navratri festival, the weather changed in the state on Wednesday. A few places in the state including Balaghat and Dindori dists witnessed thunderstorm and lightning. Temperatures at the majority of places in the state remained around the normal mark. Rainfall activity would continue in the state for the next three days. The festival begins Thursday.The meteorological dept stated the upper air cyclonic circulation over central parts of Madhya Pradesh at 0.9 km above mean sea level persists. The trough from south east Rajasthan to north Chhattisgarh across the above cyclonic circulation over central parts of MP at 0.9 km above mean sea level persists.The day temperature in Bhopal on Wednesday was recorded at 35.4 degrees celsius, which was at the normal mark, while the night temperature in the city was 16.6 degrees celsius, two degrees less than the normal mark.In the forecast for Bhopal on Thursday the meteorological dept stated there would be partly cloudy sky. Day and night temperature would be respectively 34 degrees celsius and 18 degrees celsius, while average wind speed will be 16 kilometers per hour. A warning of thunderstorm and lightning has been issued for several districts.
