No sweet tooth here! False teeth in chocolate startle woman in Madhya Pradesh

NEW DELHI: A retired school principal in Madhya Pradesh's Khargone district had a shocking discovery as she found pieces of denture in a chocolate she had received at a kid's birthday party.

The woman, found a set of four false teeth when she took a bite a few days after the party.

"I got a coffee-flavoured chocolate of a popular brand. After eating the chocolate, I felt something like a crunchy piece of chocolate. But, when I tried to chew it once again, I felt it to be very hard. When I took it out, I was shocked to see it was a set of four false teeth," India Today quoted the woman as saying.

In response to the incident, the woman lodged a complaint with the district food and drug department.

Officials from the department collected chocolate samples from the store where the purchase was made.

HL Awasiya, an official from the Food Safety and Drug Administration, said that the samples will be sent to a laboratory for further analysis.
