BHOPAL: A large number of people welcomed 2013 in a different manner and took the New Year resolution to ensure that Delhi rape incident is not repeated in the coming year.
Carrying mashals (torch), a large number of people, including activists from different organizations, assembled at the Roshanpura square around 7.30 pm and took the New Year resolution.

According to Rolly Shivhare, the New Year resolutions also include to ensure that the independence of the women is be respected and to ensure that no women becomes a victim of rape.
They also took pledge to mobilise support for the act to check the sexual harassment with adequate amendments.
A group of youths also assembled at the Upper Lake and demanded strict action against those involved in harassment of women. Participating in large number, girls also demanded prompt action against such persons. Carrying placards, the also demanded justice to the Delhi rape victim.
