‘No issues with Shivraj Singh Chauhan’
BHOPAL: Union water resource minister Uma Bharati has said that she along with entire team of BJP had prepared a charge sheet against the then Congress chief minister Digvijaya Singh, based on which an inquiry was also set up, but she is unaware about its fate.
“I was not alone, but the entire team prepared charge sheet against him. An inquiry was also ordered into corruption cases, but what happened to it is not known,” the firebrand BJP leader told reporters at her official residence here on Monday. Uma, who was granted bail in the defamation case filed against her by Digvijaya Singh, said she would not compromise on the issue of corruption, as it is a question of moral values. “I cannot compromise on issues like Tiranga, Ganga river and cow slaughter,” said Uma, adding if raising issue of corruption is a crime she would commit it in the interest of the nation. She said she had known Digvijaya for long, but cannot compromise on this issue. “I consider Digvijaya as elder brother. I would appreciate if he is ready to withdraw defamation case against me, but I will not apologise for it,” she said.
