Neighbour booked for stalking teen

Bhopal: Neighbour was booked for allegedly stalking and molesting a 17-year-old girl in Ashoka Garden locality.On Monday, when the accused stalked and waylaid the survivor, she finally decided to approach the police and lodge a complaint. A molestation case was registered under relevant sections of IPC and POCSO Act.Police said that survivor resides with her family members and is a class 5 dropout. In her complaint to police she alleged that the accused, who resides close to her home, had been stalking her for the past few days, whenever she steps out. She had been ignoring the accused but on Monday around 5 pm, when she was going to a nearby public toilet, the accused waylaid her and pressured to talk to him. When she protested, he molested her and fled the spot threatening with dire consequences. TNN
