Bhopal: National Unity Day or Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrated on October 31 to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
The general administration department on Wednesday stated the programmes to be held on October 31- national unity day observed on the occasion of birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. A programme would be organised to administer pledge to the people.
The uniform services would hold a march-past wherever possible for the unity and sense of security. Unity run would be organised in every district.
In the prisons, programmes must be conducted keeping national unity in focus, stated the directives issued by the general administration department to divisional commissioners and district collectors. The union home ministry has directed to observe October 31 as national unity day.
