Bhopal: In a remarkable display of skill and precision, Syed Ahan Ali, a promising talent from the MP State Shooting Academy, made the country proud at the 16th Asian Shooting (Shotgun) Championship 2025 held in Shymkent, Kazakhstan. Competing against some of the finest shooters from across the continent, Ali clinched an individual bronze medal in the fiercely contested men's shotgun trap event, scoring an impressive 102 points.The event saw Yugan Muthukumar Sakthwell, another Indian shooter, rise to the occasion and secure the gold medal with a stellar score of 116 points, while Shayan Froudi of Iran took home the silver.This victory not only highlights the individual brilliance of Indian shooters but also underscores the growing prowess of the nation in the international shooting arena.The triumph continued in the team event, where the Indian trio of Yugan Muthukumar Sakthwell, Syed Ahan Ali, and Manavraj Singh showcased exceptional teamwork and coordination. Their combined efforts resulted in a total score of 308 points, earning them the coveted gold medal. The host nation, Kazakhstan, followed with a silver medal, scoring 269 points.The achievements of Ali and his teammates have been met with widespread acclaim back home.
