Minto Hall

) here without disturbing its original structure at an estimated cost of Rs 32 crore.
The government has appointed
Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation
as nodal agency for the purpose, a Public Relation Department official said today.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan will launch the renovation work tomorrow.
The ultramodern 500-seater convention centre will be constructed in the old Vidhan Sabha by maintaining originality of Minto Hall.
The objective of the project is to restore Minto Hall to its original condition and develop it as an international convention centre, the official said.
In view of special importance of Minto Hall, the state government had constituted an apex committee headed by the then Chief Secretary Rakesh Sahni for selection of architect.
It also has School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) Prof. Ajay Khare as its member. The panel has already shortlisted the architect for the purpose.
The government has set a target to complete this work by December, 2017. Madhya
