MP: Man axed over property dispute; police make complainant wash car while brother lies bleeding

BHOPAL: Police in Bhind district have been accused of making a complainant wash a vehicle while his injured brother lay bleeding outside the station. The incident was reported from Daboh police station on Tuesday night.

According to reports, Shyamu Parihar of Barthara village was attacked with an axe and sticks during a property dispute with his uncle Narayan Parihar and Komal Parihar. He was left bleeding when his brother Ramu rushed him to Daboh police station to file a complaint.

The family alleged that instead of providing medical help or registering the case immediately, police asked them to wash a car belonging to a sub inspector. They claimed the FIR was lodged only after about an hour’s delay and further alleged that money was demanded for registering the complaint.

The victim’s relatives have appealed to Superintendent of Police Asit Yadav, demanding action.
