Acting on her complaint, Bajaria police registered a zero FIR and transferred the case diary to

Nishatpura police station

as the incident took place under the that jurisdiction. After receiving zero FIR on Monday,

Nishatpira

police registered a rape case against the accused under relevant sections of IPC and started investigations.

Investigating Officer SI Urmila Yadav said that the survivor is a resident of Bajaria. In her complaint, the woman said that she had hired an auto-rickshaw to drop her to office on a daily basis about two years ago. She alleged that the driver forcibly took her to a rented flat in Nishatpura locality and outraged her modesty. He threatened her of dire consequences, if she dared reveal the incident to anyone. Terrified, she kept mum.

However, the abuse continued and the accused raped her repeatedly warning her each time not to tell anyone. Fed up of the routine harassment, the survivor reported the matter to police, said Yadav. More leads will be available after cops record the statement of the survivor. Cops are trying to contact the survivor and a team from Nishatpura police station raided the residence of the accused. However, he had fled. Further investigations are underway and the accused will be nabbed soon, said Yadav.
