Mayor-in-council clears Rs 52cr Kerwa, Narmada water supply project

BHOPAL: Mayor-in-council (MiC) of Bhopal municipal corporation (BMC) has okayed a proposal of Rs 52 crore for Kerwa and Narmada water supply project on Tuesday.
Project would be under urban infrastructure development scheme for small and medium towns (UIDSSMT), said local MLA Rameshwar Sharma.
He claimed water supply pipeline will benefit 62 colonies, 56 slums clusters and 45 villages of Kolar area by March 2016.In first phase, Kerwa water supply will be provided and in the second phase, it will be connected to Narmada water supply.
