Man stabs wife in Bhopal's Bilkhiria

: A man allegedly stabbed his 40-year-old wife suspecting her character in

Bilkhiria

locality in the wee hours of Tuesday. Acting on information, Bilkhiria police registered a case on charges of attempt to murder against the man and started the investigation.

said, complainant Rohit Suryavanshi, 18, said that he stays with his

father Nandlal

and mother

Kaushalya

. Both his

parents

work as labourers.

suspected that Kaushalya was having an extramarital affair and this led to frequent disputes between them. Around 2 am on Tuesday, Nandlal returned home and attacked his wife with a knife. He stabbed her thrice in the back, abdomen and neck. She sustained severe injuries and started bleeding profusely. Rohit rushed to the spot and Nandlal fled the scene. Rohit called his sister and brother-in-law and rushed Kaushalya to hospital where she is undergoing treatment in critical condition. Efforts are on to nab the accused.
