Man shot dead in front of wife in Bhind

Bhopal: A 25-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Bhind on Wednesday night.The incident occurred around 8.30 pm near Ramta village. The victim, identified as Nitesh Jatav, a resident of Khirika village, was returning home from Bhind with his wife, Ruby, after shopping.Police said some items fell from their motorcycle, following which he stopped to pick them up. At that moment, two unidentified persons on a motorcycle approached from behind and shot him in the head at close range before fleeing the spot. He died on the spot.The incident took place in front of his wife. Ater police reached the spot and started an investigation. The body was sent to the district hospital for post-mortem.Police suspect the killing was planned, as the attack took place in an isolated ravine area. A case of murder has been registered against unidentified persons, and a team has been formed to trace the accused. Search operations are underway in the area.
