BHOPAL: A person was shot dead during a petty fight in Mullah Colony in Nishatpura area late on Thursday. The accused, Salman, had a dispute with Faisal, a resident of the same locality after the latter pushed a kid hailing from the accused’s family while she was playing outside.
When the minor kid approached Salman and complained about Faisal, he along with his brothers assaulted Faisal and stabbed him with a sharp-edged weapon on his thigh. A case of assault was registered at Nishatpura police station against Salman, Danish, Irshad and Dilshad on Thursday around 9.30 pm.
On learning about the incident Syed Ali resident of Marwari Road along with his friends Faisal Abbas, 28, Saif Ali and Arbaz went to settle scores with Salman and barged into his house and started beating Salman and his brothers. On this, Salman took out a country made pistol and fired two rounds. Both the bullets hit Syed Ali in the temple and beside his ear.
He was rushed to a hospital where he died early this morning.
Investigating Officer SI Karan Singh said that both, deceased Syed Ali and accused Salman had criminal records. ACP Richa Jain told TOI that efforts are underway to nab the accused. As of now three persone were booked on charges of murder.
