Man carrying loaded pistol near Carbide factory held

Bhopal: A man carrying a loaded pistol near the Union Carbide Factory on Tuesday night was arrested in Gautam Nagar. A case was registered against the accused under the Arms Act.According to the police, around 7:30 pm, they received information about a man roaming near the Union Carbide Factory with a loaded pistol, allegedly intending to commit a crime. Acting on the tip, the police nabbed the suspect. The police recovered a .32 bore pistol and a live cartridge from his possession.The accused was identified as Altaf Khan, 22, a resident of Bhanpur Multi, in the Chhola area. Police records revealed that he has prior cases of assault and intimidation registered against him at the Chhola police station.
