Maharashtra ATS team in MP to check on youths arrested in Mumbai

A team of Maharashtra anti-terrorist squad (ATS) reached Madhya Pradesh on Thursday to find out more about the three youths from the state recently arrested with grenades, firearms and cash from a high-end car in an interception near Dadar area, Mumbai, said sources.

BHOPAL: A team of Maharashtra anti-terrorist squad (ATS) reached Madhya Pradesh on Thursday to find out more about the three youths from the state recently arrested with grenades, firearms and cash from a high-end car in an interception near Dadar area, Mumbai, said sources.
The youths are being interrogated by multiple agencies in Maharashtra following the 'tweet' from an account, purportedly belonging to terror outfit Indian Mujahideen (IM) that has warned of terror strike in Mumbai in another couple of days.

The accused were identified as Mohammed Iliyaz Khan alias Bachkana (33), Razin Zakir Shaikh alias Banku (26) and Shafiq Shah (30).
Two hand grenades, a revolver eight live cartridges, a revolver, two choppers, eight mobile phones and cash of Rs 6.5 lakh were confiscated from their possession. They were produced before the Dadar court and remanded in police custody till July 15.
The accused are being interrogated for their alleged links with two persons - Naeemuddin Sheikh and Zubair Khan, in Mumbai.
Zubair Khan was reportedly in touch with Munna Anruddin Shaikh, who is also a history-sheeter in MP.
The Maharasthra officers refused to share details saying that their interrogation was still on. Meanwhile the MPATS officials pleaded ignorance on having specific inputs on their arrest.
