BHOPAL: A tiger that ventured into the fields of Dobha village, adjacent to the buffer zone bordering Panna Tiger Reserve, in Madhya Pradesh was successfully relocated to a safer forest area.

Upon receiving reports from villagers on Thursday, regarding a tiger sighting near Dobha village's fields within the buffer zone of Panna Tiger Reserve, the concerned beat guard informed senior officers.

Forest personnel dispersed the crowd, and secured the location of the tiger and its kill.

The tiger was spotted sheltering beneath bushes near the Budha Dahar drain in the vicinity of Besaram.

Field director issued instructions to the forest staff. Police assistance was requested from the nearby police post to assist in evacuating villagers from the area.

Additionally, electricity supply to Doma village was temporarily halted until the tiger could be safely relocated, and fieldworkers were advised to vacate the area. Wire fencing was dismantled to provide unimpeded passage for the tiger.

Elephants were dispatched to Dobha village, and efforts were made to safely guide the tiger back into the forest. By 7:00 PM, the tiger was successfully led away from the vicinity with the assistance of elephants.
