Madhya Pradesh: Molestation accused kills girl outside her college

BHOPAL: A 23-year girl was murdered outside her college in broad day light at

Seoni district

of Madhya Pradesh. The accused crushed her head with a huge stone, killing her on spot.

The accused identified as Anil Mishra, 38, is resident of Fulara village, which is also the native village of the deceased Ranu Nagotra, 23.

In February Mishra was booked for molesting Ranu on the complaint of her parents and the trial is still going on, said police.

Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Girl’s college

situated near Kotwali police station of the district at around 11 am.

"Accused and the girl were from the same village and they knew each other for past two years. A complaint of molestation was also made by the girl and her parents against the accused in February this year. The accused was arrested and was out on bail. On Monday, Mishra was talking to the girl and both of them were walking on the road near the college where the deceased studied," SP Seoni,

"The accused suddenly pushed the girl down and dropped a huge stone on her forehead. He was arrested immediately by a home guard who was present near the spot and prevented from any further attack. But the wound proved fatal for the girl," he added.

"During interrogation the accused claimed that he was talking with the girl but she denied talking to him over some issue and in a fit of rage he executed the crime," Singh said.
