Madhya Pradesh: Man rapes 3-month-old in Morena; victim critical

BHOPAL: A three-month-old girl was allegedly raped by a close relative inside their home in Morena on Tuesday. The accused, a 30-year-old man, was allegedly under the influence of alcohol at the time.

Police said the incident took place between 10.30 am and 11 am when the infant was with her grandmother. The man, who lives in the same house, took the child to another room despite objections from family members. Soon, the baby’s cries alerted the family, who rushed in and found her bleeding.


The infant was taken to Morena district hospital, where doctors described her condition as critical. Medical officials said that surgical intervention may be required. Due to the seriousness of her condition, the baby was referred to Gwalior for advanced treatment under medical supervision.

“We have arrested the suspect and sent him to jail. The survivor was sent to Gwalior for sonography to examine internal injuries. She is stable now and under constant medical supervision” said SP Samir Saurabh.
