of
vaccine
to protect against Covid-19 were administered here on Wednesday. At the start of the second day of mega vaccination drive,
Bhopal
vaccine stock was 70,867. Unlike the first day of vaccination, no targets were set for the day, according to sources. In Bhopal, more than 1.56 lakh were inoculated on first day of the drive on Monday.
Doses administered at 416 vaccination centres was reflected on health department portal by 8 pm. Data from 467 centres is expected as they were active on Wednesday. In 95 centres, more than 200 doses were administered in Bhopal on Wednesday.
Many locations witnessed long queues while in other centres remained less busy. 50 centres reported less than 50 doses administered during the day. In
Jehangirabad
, a centre was set up at the main mosque. At the entrance motivators including
Shakeel Khan urged the people coming to the mosque to get the jab. Some 25,000 jabs were administered through BCM-run vaccination centres. 140 plus centres in rural areas accounted for 21% of all doses administered during the day. Coverage in gram panchayats increased by 7% compared to Monday’s sessions. 16 centres under
SDM
of various areas once again accounted for most number of doses administered. These 16 centres reported 11,500 inoculations during the day. Bhopal vaccination numbers at the end of the day stood at 13,87,048 total doses. 1,94,405 people have received both doses of the vaccine. Seven lakh people between 18 to 44 have now received at least one
jab
each.
