BHOPAL: In a decision taken late on Sunday night, chief electoral officer (CEO) Madhya Pradesh ordered that there would be no webcasting during counting of votes.
CEO VL Kantha Rao also instructed that no Wi-Fi would be used during counting, instead CCTV cameras would be used.
The decision came at around 11.30 pm on Sunday following the allegations of Congress earlier in the day that equipments of private companies are being deployed for setting up Wi-Fi network and the domains through which webcasting would be done are also registered in name of private companies.
Congress also alleged that if webcasting is not done from EC's platform the data could be fudged.
