CM explores clean energy tech during Germany visit

Bhopal: CM Mohan Yadav on Friday engaged in detailed discussions with a German firm on the potential implementation of clean energy technologies in Madhya Pradesh, and ways to meet the increasing demand for renewable energy.Yadav, who is leading the 'Invest Madhya Pradesh' delegation, visited SFC Energy in Brunnthal, near Munich. The company is a leader in manufacturing direct methanol and hydrogen fuel cells. SFC Energy CEO Peter Podessar provided an overview of the company's key technologies and their innovations in the clean energy sector. The CM also met with Baerlocher Group, a prominent German company specialising in plastic additives. Baerlocher has been operating a unit in Dewas since 2001 and has invested over Rs 400 crore in the state, creating more than 300 jobs.During the meeting, discussions focused on Baerlocher's expansion opportunities, the use of innovative technologies, and the adoption of eco-friendly solutions. Yadav described his visit to Germany as a significant step for Madhya Pradesh's economic and industrial development. He emphasised that the partnership with German companies would bring new advancements in green energy and cutting-edge technologies to the state. The visit is also expected to play a key role in achieving the goals set for ‘Industry Year 2025' in Madhya Pradesh, he said. Besides, Yadav had a warm and engaging conversation with the Indian expatriate community, 'Friends of MP,' in Munich. Moving beyond formalities, he discussed India's rich culture and traditions in an informal and friendly manner. Yadav expressed pride in the achievements of over 2 lakh Indian expatriates and more than 35,000 Indian students in Germany, who are excelling in education and skills, setting a strong example of excellence.
