UJJAIN: Mangal Malviya, brother of BJP MLA Satish Malviya, shot and killed his son on Monday morning, causing panic at Sunchai village in Ujjain. The police took up the investigation and conducted an autopsy on the deceased. The gun was seized, and the father who committed the murder was detained.
Mangal Malviya, the brother of BJP MLA Satish Malviya from the Ghattiya constituency, resides in the village of Sunchai in the Makdon police station area. In the morning, Mangal had a dispute with his 38-year-old son Arvind over financial matters. In a fit of rage, Mangal fired two shots at his son's head with a licensed 12-bore gun. Arvind died on the spot.
Upon learning of the incident, the police arrived at the scene and took Arvind to Tarana Hospital, where doctors declared him dead and sent the body for an autopsy. Additional Superintendent of Police Pallavi Shukla stated that the dispute between the father and son was over financial dealings. Mangal Singh lived separately from his brother Satish Malviya's family and ran a grocery store. The investigation is ongoing, and the gun was confiscated.
