The final voters list for the upcoming assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh has been published, revealing a total of 5.6 crore electors. The list includes 2.88 crore male voters and 2.72 crore female voters. Additionally, there are 75,304 service electors and 6.5 lakh voters above the age of 80. During the second summary revision, 24.3 lakh names were added and 7.5 lakh names were deleted, resulting in a net increase of 16.8 lakh voters. There are also 22.3 lakh first-time voters aged between 18 and 19.

BHOPAL: A total of 5.6 crore electors will seal the fate of political parties in the upcoming assembly elections of the state.
Final voters list for the assembly elections was published on Wednesday after the conclusion of the second summary revision of rolls that started from August 2, when the draft rolls were published.

Chief electoral officer, Madhya Pradesh, Anupam Rajan said that as per the final voters list there are a total of 5,60,60925 general electors in state and of these 2,88,25607 are males, while 2,72,33,945 are females.

Besides the general electors there are 75,304 service electors including 73,020 males and 2,284 females, thus overall there are 5,61,36229 voters as per the final publication.
Rajan informed that there are 6,53,640 voters aged above 80 years and of these 5,124 are aged above 100 years. And 5,05,146 voters with disabilities.

During the second summary revision a total of 24,33,965 names were added and 75,0175 names were deleted, thus overall the voters list saw an increase of 16,83,790 voters during the revision, he said.
"Besides these there were modifications in details of 15,01,146 voters," he added.
Rajan said, "No deletion of name will be executed once the elections are announced, while addition of new names could be done till 10 days before the last date of nomination".
Among these there are a total of 22,36,564 first time voters or voters aged between 18 and 19 years, he added.
