Haaris, who works as a carpenter, told TOI that after taking a stroll on the Kerwa Dam, he and his friends went to the downstream of the dam where the stop dam was located around 4.30pm.

He along with Talib went ahead to find shallow water while Musaif and other friends stayed near the stop dam. When he returned around 15 minutes later, he found that three friends including Musaif, Shakir and

The visitors somehow managed to save Uzer and Shakir while Musaif slipped and drowned in deep water.
