Madhya Pradesh: 15 officials suspended after public distribution shops inspection

BHOPAL: The directorate of food and civil supplies has suspended 15 of its officials after an inspection of 70 public distribution shops. Licences of 39 shops have been suspended and sources said they may be handed over to self-help groups. Four officials - Jasraj Jatav, Mayank Chandel, Syed Parvez Naqvi and Ramkanya Kachhava - have been chargesheeted.The suspended officials include Bhopal food officer Jyoti Shah Narvariya, assistant civil supplies officer Santosh Uike, Dinesh Ahirwar, Vinay Singh, Pratap Singh, Satyapal Singh Jadon, S L Gill, Anil Tantuvoy, Rajesh Khare, Saurabh Jain, Suresh Gurjqar, Ashish Tomar, Ankit Hans, Sharad Pancholi and Anil Tiwari. tnn
Seven of them had jurisdiction over the 39 shops and the others have been suspended for laxity in inspection. All the officials who have faced action are from Bhopal and Narmadapuram divisions.
