BHOPAL: Raksh Bandhan in lockdown turned into an interesting celebration where siblings took over the kitchen and tried their hands at preparing their favourite dishes to make the day special. While some turned out fine, others were a complete disaster, the sisters confess.

Whatever may have been the taste, this lockdown Rakhi gave brothers and sisters memories to last a lifetime.

Palash and Rishabh Singhal tried making rasgullas, which to their surprise, did not taste bad. They were celebrating the festival together after many years as both have jobs in different cities.

“We had paneer at home so I decided to make rasgullas even though I knew it was quite difficult. My brother who also loved the sweet joined me in the kitchen and we had loads of fun together. Since the last 5-6 years we both have been celebrating Rakhi on phone as we were both in different cities. This year however we had work-from-home and decided to come back to Bhopal,” said Palash, a biotech engineering.

Another brother-sister duo Pragati and Prateek Agrawal also had their share of fun. “We had a jamming session on our guitars and went through our childhood photos. My parents were at home too and it felt great to celebrate the day together after ages,” Pragati, a software engineer, said.
