in Sheopur.

Like the past 73 years, on February 12, people assembled at Manpur on the banks of the triveni sangam again to observe the trayodashi of Gandhiji.

The father of the nation was remembered and bhajans liked by him were rendered by the locals, said Kailash Parashar.

Satya Bhanu Singh Chouhan

, former Congress MLA’s family has been instrumental in keeping the tradition alive. “People in this region wait for this occasion to remember the Mahatma. We pay tributes to Gandhiji. We also hold an all-religion prayer meeting,” he said.

The gathering is held on the banks of the river which divides Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. On one side is Sheopur while on the other side is located Sawaimadhopur district of Rajasthan. People from Sawaimadhopur district also take part in the prayer meeting.
