HC orders search for patient who vanished from Jabalpur hosp

Bhopal/Jabalpur: A division bench of MP high court directed police to find a person who disappeared from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College, Jabalpur. Hearing a habeas corpus petition filed by the wife of the ‘missing' person, the bench comprising chief justice Sanjeev Sachdeva and Justice Vinay Saraf gave the direction to Jabalpur police on Tuesday. The petitioner Preeti Vishwakarma in her petition said that her husband was admitted at Jabalpur medical college for treatment on Aug 25, 2025. During his stay at the hospital, when she went to meet him one evening, he was missing from the hospital. She lodged a complaint about his missing husband on the ‘Sakhi' app, also informed the police through the app and also approached the MP Human Rights Commission, which had sought a report on the matter from Jabalpur SP. The court directed the police to search the man and produce him in the court on the next date of hearing on April 21.TNN
