BHOPAL: A 30-year-old man allegedly died by suicide at his home in Jawahar Nagar, Awadhpuri, on Sunday.
His family rushed him to AIIMS after finding him hanging, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Awadhpuri police registered a case and recovered a suicide note in which the deceased blamed harassment by his wife, mother-in-law, and brother-in-law for his decision. The note has been seized, and an investigation is underway.
Police said that deceased Shubham Yadav lived in Jawahar Nagar, Awadhpuri, and worked as a water-tanker driver.
Around three years ago, Shubham got married following a love affair without his parents' consent, and the couple lived separately. However, disagreements soon arose between the two, and his wife eventually left Shubham to live apart.
Police said that Shubham's father, Lalaram, shared that on Sunday night, Shubham hanged himself in his room.
The family found him and immediately rushed him to AIIMS, where doctors declared him dead after examination.
Police said that after Shubham's wife left him, he made multiple attempts to reconcile with her. However, when he discovered that his wife remarried, he was devastated, leading him to take this drastic step.
